My name is Apuroopa Kavikondala, and I’m a current junior in high school. It truly is such an honor to be able to work with Jetson as a brand ambassador and on top of this amazing opportunity, be selected as September's ambassador of the month. I am passionate about finance and financial education + responsibility because I’ve grown up in a household where we keep track of our expenses, regardless of how much we are fortunate enough to spend.
As a teenager, it’s easy to go out and spend as much as we want, whenever we want, without knowing the consequences to our actions. My dad always asks me when I want to get something new for my room or just some extra treats for movie nights: “What would you do if you didn’t have the money to spend?” So, just like this, I find that Jetson has an inspiring mission of teaching young adults all over the world how to responsibly deal with finances whether that be crypto or not. If I were to give one piece of advice to teenagers, I would say: “Yes, life is too short to not go out and do whatever you want and spend and live and laugh. But, at the same time, if it was your last dollar, what would you do with it?” Alongside Stack, I’d also love to talk about my writing. I am a 3 times published author, as in I have written and published 3 novels on mental health. I also have my own Substack publication called “Can’t Be Silent” where I talk about life lessons and just anything I feel like. All I want from my life is to be happy and make my impact, which is what I hope to do through my work. To end here, I want to leave you with one quote, one thing that gets me out of bed every morning. One thing that I hope changes your life forever: “Keep giving, don’t stop. But don’t give to the point that you give yourself away.” I’d like to say a huge thank you to Teddy for bringing me here onto the Stack Ambassador program. I am so excited to continue this journey! And thank you to the Stack team for everything you do.
